Helen Keller said, "Life is a daring adventure or nothing" Congratulations! You are embarking on your own adventure of buying or selling real property in Steamboat Springs. This may be one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of your life or this may be one of many investments to add to your real estate portfolio. Either way, I'm here to oversee every step of the process. I became a real estate professional because for me, doing good things for others is what life is all about. It is an honor and responsibility to work with families and/or investors in real estate transactions. I do not take lightly this charge. My attention to detail and knowledge of the contracting process will keep you informed at all times. Communication is key to a successful REALTOR/Client relationship. As your professional agent and confidant, I am 100% committed to listening to what you need and closing the deal you desire.
Here is a glimpse of my past: I was born in Southern California in 1963; moved to the mountains of North Carolina when I was 12; spent a year in The Woodlands, Texas at 20 (where I jumped out of an airplane and changed my life forever); then moved to Colorado in 1984. Traveling to Breckenridge via I-70, I knew I had come home. I spent four years skiing, and then returned to college to finish my degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1990 with a BA in Communication and a Type A - General Teaching Certificate. After having my kids I did not return to teaching, but to corporate training in downtown Denver.
Numerous trips to Steamboat finally made our family's life change inevitable. In 1999, our dream became a reality when my husband Steve purchased a dental practice. He is one of three doctors who practice and own Pine Grove Dental Arts. We left the city, along with our two children Ali and Corbin, and Steamboat Springs became our permanent home. Most recently, we have purchased a second home in the Baja of Mexico (LaPaz / Paraiso Del Mar), which may also be a good opportunity for you. Click on Mexico Properties (left side of this page and above my picture) to learn about investments there.
My family enjoys boating, camping, golf, tennis, skiing and when we can, scuba diving. I am very active in the community and serve on several boards and committees. We have bought and sold numerous properties prior to moving to Steamboat, but it was in 2005 when I became a full time Real Estate Broker. In 2006, I placed 4th out of over 2000 applicants in the national Real Estate Apprentice Grant challenge. Finalists are selected through essays that are graded on traits such as communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, salesmanship, uniqueness, creativity and integrity. http://www.realestateapprentice.com/season/3/awardees. I have completed the 92 hours of course requirements to achieve the accreditation of Graduate REALTOR Institute which is recognized nationwide as the standard for real estate professionalism and knowledge. Here are some accomplishments in 2009: 1) Top producing single agent at Prudential Steamboat Realty, 2) Acquired the Certified Negotiation Expert(CNE)credential, 3) Placed 10th in production out of over 400 brokers active in the Steamboat Springs MLS, and so far in 2010: 1)Attended the Prudential Sales Conventions in Austin, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada (2009), 2) E arned the designation of Fine Homes Specialist, 2) Became a member of Prudential Fine Homes International and 3) continue to take Continuing Education courses to better myself for you.... Together we will make your real estate experience in Steamboat a success. I am happy to help...
